California native and stepdaughter of a master printer, Dominie Brazzel, understood the commitment to exceptional craftsmanship from an early age. Combined with a strong work ethic and love of fashion and cinema she cultivated with her mother, Dominie was destined to embark on a career in design, where she honed her eye for detail and quality, giving every garment and accessory the white-glove treatment.
Brazzel’s background lies in design and costuming for tv & film, most notably for Titanic, Amistad, NYPD Blue, Family Law, Temporarily Yours, and Passions. During her costume work on Ladies Man, she had the pleasure of working with the lovely, funny and talented, Betty White as well as Alfred Molina.
With the launch of her eponymous collection, Dominie brings the ultimate handbag statement to a most discerning audience of arbiters of fashion and taste. The ultimate multi-tasker and perfectionist, she’s putting the last touches on the costumes for her son’s musical theatre debut while choosing exotic skins, silks and precious stones for her latest handbag collection.
